House Tour!

When you walk in our front door, THIS is the front sitting room area.

To the left, our (still working on this) "family wall" - it will hold pictures of family and dear friends. The closet there is a coat closet.

Our "adventure wall" only has one picture now... beyond that, you can go upstairs or into the kitchen.
Actually, at the bottom of the stairs, there is another (small) bathroom and a storage closet.

Kitchen! I really love making meals here with and for my Sweetiekins.

This is the living room. We don't watch TV that often, but it is here for Jeopardy and whatnot. We also have a big enough space to put out the air mattress for special movie nights.
The chairs here are going to be redone in the next year - just as soon as I decide how I want to paint them and which material I want to use. It should be an interesting project/learning opportunity.

Other side of the room - near the kitchen.

Looking into the laundry room. Door to the right goes out to the garage.

Looking through the back doors to the patio. The door on the right side doesn't open; yet they are two separate doors. I want to make some curtains to go over these. Perhaps something light and wispy, like linen? We shall see.

Back yard. (recently mowed, thank you very much) The back patio area is great for bbqing. Any garden we decide to plant now has to be above ground. Hmmm.

One side of laundry room. Very thankful for our wonderful washer and dryer. I also appreciate the whole design of this laundry room. Super nice. Yes, I make our laundry soap.

Other side of laundry room - a perfect canvas for special memories like artwork with something from our wedding day and aprons from my grandmother.

Walking out of the laundry room back into the main portion of the house. These are the "free" palm tree pictures - I like to get interesting souvineers from vacations.

The kitchen has plenty of storage space. I'm still working on parts, especially above the cupboards.

Now, let's go upstairs...

At the top of the stairs, turn right to enter the guest bed room. I made these pillows, but they never sold at craft fairs. They are perfect for our bright, cheery, relaxing guest room. Almost all the pictures in this room are flowers. It is full of things we like. Fun.

Guest bathroom is fully stocked. This is the "pretty, girly" area of the house.

Guest bathroom has two doors. The other leads into the office.

Master bedroom. The flowers above our bed (see earlier post) are made from brown paper bags.

Other side of master bedroom. Sorry, this picture is darker. This dresser was from my great Aunt. I brightened it up a bit with a colorful Hawaiian sarong.

The walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Yes, I'm still working on the top part. Yes, Eric gave me the WHOLE closet...

Master bathroom. If you are short on storage space, just hang baskets on the wall. Cute and functional.

Office! Which is also the craft/sewing room.

Other side of office. This is the sewing table.

I am thankful for a work space and the option to organize my way.

Eric's closet is in this room, as well. Behind the door I have more craft supply storage.

Yes, I store my buttons by color in an old spice rack.

Clearly, I am still working on getting the house organized and whatnot; but I do think it is feeling more like our HOME now. Hooray! It is a work in progress; but I do like how it is all coming together.
We are very thankful for our wonderful home. It is much better than we were expecting;
and we are appreciative. Praise the Lord for providing what we need, and more.

Thanks for touring our home. Now, go enjoy part of yours.
